Keung To’s performance at TIMA 2025 left such a deep impression on me.

It wasn’t just good — it was breathtaking beyond words.

He poured every ounce of himself into it, holding nothing back — pure, beautiful madness unleashed on stage.

And the fact that he chose to sing every single song in Cantonese made it feel even more powerful, like a love letter to our culture.

There are four moments forever burned into my memory that I have to share:

Then came the spellbinding contemporary dance piece —

Every movement, every gesture, was perfectly fused with the lyrics,

as if his body itself had become the song.

No one else could have done this. No one.

I’ve said it since the day this song was born:

Keung To walks miles ahead of others. His vision is far-reaching, fearless.

And each time he performs it, he reinvents it — new arrangement, new life.

This is Keung Style: singular, unrepeatable, untouchable.

The moment those three bold characters blazed across the screen,

my tears broke free and refused to stop.

Seven years of walking with him — I know the man behind the name.

I know his mind, his heart, his unyielding fire.

… when the rhythm struck, he never falter on stage, and roared with defiance: “I’m a mad dog!”

In that instant, a storm of wild, furious flames leapt from him to me,

searing straight into my soul.

Tell me — who else on this earth could ignite me like that,

if not Keung To?

And then — the promise fulfilled.

Fatboy, your moment will come, but tonight was proof of something greater:

a mentee who remembers every word he’s spoken.

Keung once said he’d bring you onto the stage.

He didn’t forget. He carried it in his heart.

And when the time came — he delivered.

That’s Keung To: a man who keeps his promises.

TIMA wasn’t just a music event — it was an “achievement unlocked” moment, a bold step onto the international stage.

From the very first note to the final pose, everything — his song choices, the order, the pacing — felt intentional.

It wasn’t only a performance; it was Keung sharing his journey, opening his heart, and letting us witness his growth.

And through it all, one thing was clear: he wanted to bring the beauty of Cantonese music to the world.

K-pop, Canto-pop — why pit them against each other? Both shine in their own right.

Seven years ago, I said Keung To was like an uncut diamond — dazzling, yet waiting to be refined.

Now, he has mastered the craft. He knows exactly how to channel that fire within him.

He’s no longer just a star on the rise — he’s a force ready for the world’s biggest stages.

And I believe with all my heart: even greater stages await him so that he can rise to the next level - cos the truth remains unchanged — the only one who can outshine Keung To… is Keung To himself.

～Afterthoughts

Last night, after Keung’s performance, I tried to WhatsApp a fellow Candy 🍬 —

but my hands were trembling so badly I couldn’t even type a single word. 😭

In the end, I sent a voice note… and it was nothing but sobs, wave after wave of tears I couldn’t control.

Because on that stage, with every drop of sweat and every ounce of effort, he proved everything to us.

At his core, he’s still the same Keung — genuine, unshaken, with a heart that never changes. And that’s why he deserves us — every bit of love and loyalty we can give.

Keung, as I always say, I’ll walk beside you for as long as this journey goes.

But you’re running so fast, soaring so far ahead — we’ll just have to push harder, chase harder, to keep up with you.
